Union.

Yoga in Sanskrit means to unite.

In the last year, yoga and meditation become part of my daily routine. This gives me everyday strength, peace, happiness, and consciousness of myself, not only physically but also mentally. Every moment's a new discovery, so I felt the need to share that in my pictures.

Yogini: Silvia Manca.

Let the past fade,
the future disappear,
don't cling
to the present.
Live in peace.

Sutta Nipata.

Practice means choosing, applying the effort, and doing those actions that bring a stable and tranquil state.

Yoga Sutra.

Better than a thousand useless words is one useful word, hearing which one attains peace.

Dhammapada.

You're wise, you're free,
not stuck in dispute.
You promote peace,
live without desire,
grow in the world
like a lotus
rising unsullied
from mud and water.

Sutta Nipata.

Yoga is the control of the modifications of the mind field.

Yoga Sutra.

By slight effort and meditating on the unlimited
(posture becomes firm and pleasant).

Yoga Sutra.

The wise are silent,
stand back from arguments,
keep the mind
open.

Sutta Nipata.

Mind precedes all mental states. Mind is their chief; they are all mind-wrought. If with a pure mind a person speaks or acts happiness follows him like his never-departing shadow.

Dhammapada.

The wise depend on nothing,
have no likes or dislikes,
Lamentation and meanness run off them
like water from a lotus leaf.

Sutta Nipata.

When the modifications of mind have become weakened, the mind becomes like a transparent crystal, and thus can easily take on the qualities of whatever object observed, whether that object be the observer, the means of observing, or an object observed.

Yoga Sutra.
